Morning, by Olivia Austin

Steam rising from clothes

I hang out to dry.

Smoky haze catches breeze,

disappears in morning light.

Early rain clings to arched trees

and falls, falls.

Dragonflies and hummingbirds sit on wire.

I watch,

Outsider.

There is a future where I have only memories.
